The Crusades are one of the expeditions in which medieval Christian warriors fought to recover control of the holy land from the Muslims. The Christians fought the Muslims to gain control of the holy land. The Christians wanted the holy land because they think Jesus was buried there. One of the effects they got after they fought was that they brought back new foods and spices like cinnamon, cloves, mace, nutmeg, pepper, sugar and many more.
